Hello Francisco, I agreed with you as I made my comments on this reading too. What you say about to analyze and reflect on this approach before implementing it, is totally true. I think, one of the reasons we have faced many inconvenients about the implementation of this approach at my institution is due to the lack of researching before putting it into practice. Yes Nancy and Francisco, a lot of what is applied in terms of langauge teaching in Colombia is not informed by research done in Colombia and compared with other contexts.
Hey Francisco, I agree with you that the taxonamy of terms is key in order to understand blended learning. As you said blended learning increases the use of online internet which might reinforce the regular classes and even the ones who cannot attend normal classes. The use of appropiate materials is also paramount especially in language learning. Regarding the questions you elicited, I think that blended learning should be a fact nowdays in order to motivate and swith the approach from traditional teacher- center to a more student -center one.
Francisco, well done. Yes, as you say if we used digital technologies well, it may improve retention. But you did not talk about your experience. You said in previous posts you have worked with tech for a long time. How can those experiences be or not a form of blended learning? Grade: 4.8
Yes teacher, I have used for instance vocaroo to do a forum, in this forum the aim was to have students posting a first entrance talking about their different projects related the creation of a company or a service, after that first posting, two other students had to reply on them giving a comment or asking for the product or service.
